The Nevada Highway Patrol are investigating a series of crashes on I-80 at Rock Boulevard and Pyramid Way in Sparks. The first crash, involving an NHP Trooper, happened just after 2 a.m.this morning. The NHP says a wrong-way driver was heading eastbound on westbound I-80 when they hit an NHP Trooper and then a semi-truck near the Pyramid Way freeway exit. NHP officials are also reporting a third crash at McCarran Boulevard. The NHP trooper from the first crash was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The wrong-way driver has been arrested but their identity has not been released.
