A call from a resident has again helped Washoe County Sheriff’s Office combat illegal dumping. The citizen called October 9th, to report an illegal dump off the dirt extension of Estates Road in Golden Valley. The site contained more than a dozen garbage bags along with a TV, high chair, and other waste, including envelopes and other items with identification information. Deputies made contact with the person identified on some of the material. The person admitted that the junk was his, and that he’d paid two men to legally dispose of it for him. He could not identify them. In this case, the owner took responsibility and drove out to clean up the site.
