Wilber Martinez-Guzman’s lawyer has asked for a delay in his murder trial. The request to delay the case was cited because the defense needs a neural-psychologist who speaks Spanish, and they’re in short supply.  The judge says she’ll move the trial to August 31, 2020 if the defense can lock in neural-psychologist for a July 29, 2020 hearing on Martinez-Guzman. Martinez-Guzman’s facing murder charges for killing a Reno couple, Jerry and Sherri David, and Sophia Renken and Connie Koontz in Gardnerville in January 2019.
