School District Approves Two-Year Contract With The Washoe Education Association

The Washoe County School District Board of Trustees voted to approve a two-year contract with the Washoe Education Association , which includes a 3 percent increase in salary for all teachers. The contract is in effect from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021, and was ratified by the WEA membership last week. Katy Simon Holland, president of the WCSD Board of Trustees. says they are pleased to approve this agreement, and grateful to Gov. Sisolak and our Nevada State Legislature for supporting this pay raise for educators. The contract includes the 3 percent Cost of Living Adjustment in the first year of the biennium, as well as salary step increases.
