A woman is in the hospital after she was shot on the 1600 block of Wedekind Road on Monday afternoon. Authorities are looking for a suspect described as a black or Hispanic man with a slight build. The Reno Police Department says the victim was hit in the chest by a stray bullet, but police say her injuries are not life threatening. SWAT officers entered an apartment on Wedekind Road, based on surveillance video from the Silver Terrace Apartment complex, but the suspect was not inside. Anyone with any information is urged to contact Secret Witness 322-4900. Reno Police say there is no current threat to the public.
