The Reno Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out early this morning at The Sands in downtown Reno. Crews were called to the casino on north Arlington avenue just after one a.m. on a report of an activated fire alarm. When fire crews showed up to the scene, they found smoke in the basement. Investigators say they found a chair on fire on the second floor. Officials say the sprinklers were activated in the room, and crews were able to quickly knock out the fire. Nobody was injured. Investigators now trying to determine the cause.
