The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office arrested a student for bringing a pellet gun to school. The sheriff’s office said they received information Wednesday that a Churchill County High School student had brought a small handgun to school earlier in the day. After investigating, deputies confirmed a student did bring a small pellet gun to class, and arrested the student immediately for being in possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds.
