(DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev.) -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing 16-year-old girl.

The missing girl, Geolyn Balleza, reportedly ran away from her parents' home in Minden on February 23. Police believe she might be in the Douglas County or Reno areas, according to the Reno Gazette Journal.

Balleza is described as white and Pacific Islander, and is approximately 5 feet and 5 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. She has brown eyes with long straight brown and blond hair. According to the Gazette Journal, she has the word "Sante" tattooed on her lower back.

Police are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to call (775) 782-9909.
