(RENO, Nev.) -- Reno Police police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred Wednesday night and left one person dead.

The stabbing was reported around 11:15 p.m. in the vicinity of Third and Ralston streets. Reno Police were called to the area, where they found a female suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she died.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area of Third and Ralston streets between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., and may have information about the crime, to contact the police department at 334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
