A bill that would ban “Fracking” in Nevada has been introduced by Assemblyman Justin Watkins. He says Fracking stresses earthquake faultlines, contaminates water, pollutes the air, and turns public land and open space into industrial zones. He says banning fracking is an important step to protecting Nevada’s natural heritage. Fracking injects water underground under great pressure to help drillers get to gas and oil deposits.
