The Washoe County School District is asking parents not to spread rumors about school threats on social media, much of which is rooted in student chatter and gossip. In a statement, the district says this online activity only complicates efforts to determine what information is true and what is false. At the same time, the district is thanking those who have reported in a responsible way, with the proper authorities, and reminding them to remain vigilant, adding if you see something, contact police immediately.
