Reno Teen Suffers Traumatic Brain Injury, Here’s How to Help

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family of a teenager who suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash in Reno. The crash happened at Highland Avenue and Beech Street around 9:30 p.m. February 12th. Police found and two people down in the road. No other vehicles were involved. A 17-year-old girl who was the passenger was taken to a hospital with respiratory and major head injuries that are considered life-threatening. The driver of the motorcycle, an 18-year-old man, was also taken to a hospital with minor cuts. He has since been released. According to the Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team, it appears the motorcyclist was speeding when he hit a patch of ice on the roadway and lost control.
