Reno Man Sentenced to 15 Years For 2018 Shooting

A Reno man must serve at least 15 years in prison after shooting a man in west Sparks in 2018, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office said Sunday in a statement. Kareem Abdul Antwon Thomas Jr., 24, pleaded guilty to second degree murder and to robbery last November in Washoe District Court. Judge Barry Breslow sentenced him Feb. 17 to up to 40 years in prison.
