Nevada AG Jumps on the “Vape Crisis” Bandwagon

Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford, along with the attorneys general of Connecticut, Florida, Oregon and Texas, announced a bipartisan, multistate investigation into JUUL Labs. The 39-state coalition is investigating JUUL’s marketing and sales practices and statements regarding risks, safety and effectiveness as a smoking cessation device. AG Ford says “Preying on children and those looking for help to quit smoking is the one of the most despicable examples of risking people’s lives for corporate profit.” He also cites lung illnesses, but does not note the latest CDC information, that implicates only black market THC oil vapes, NOT the legal products containing nicotine that British scientists say are 95% safer than smoking combustible cigarettes, and have helped millions of adults quit smoking.
