New Regulations For Religious Facilities Announced by The Governor

Governor Sisolak announced new COVID-19 directives during a press conference Wednesday. He said publicly accessible sporting venues like golf courses, basketball and tennis courts and swimming pools are ordered to close. New regulations for churches and religious facilities are in place as well — they are prohibited from holding in-person services with ten or more people, including drive in or pop-up services.

He said essential businesses must provide adequate protections to minimize the risk of spread. Grocery stores are prohibited from providing self-service food stations like salad bars and bulk food stations. Gov. Sisolak said new guidance for social distancing in grocery stores is still to come.
