Two Washoe County women died from COVID-19 related illnesses Sunday. Both had underlying health conditions. One was in her 40s and one was in her 70s. That gives Washoe County 52 COVID-19 related deaths. Also on Sunday, the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System reported that three patients have died from COVID-19 related illness. There were 17 new cases, giving Washoe County 1,378 overall, and eight more recoveries. Fifty-nine people are currently hospitalized in Washoe County due to COVID-19.
