Nevada Gov Says We’re Moving Away From a Phased Approach to Reopening

Governor Sisolak announced Nevada will be moving away from the phased approach to the ‘Roadmap to Recovery’ plan on Monday. He said municipalities and certain businesses that violate COVID-19 safety measures will be targeted instead, and stricter enforcement will be in place.

Gov. Sisolak said Clark, Nye, Elko and Washoe County bars will remain closed, while bars in Lander, Humboldt and Lyon Counties have shown enough improvement to reopen its bars with 50 percent capacity. He announced a long term mitigation strategy will be rolled out next Monday. Sisolak also said a second Nevada Legislature Special Session could be happening by next month.
