The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after a shooting near the south end of Sun Valley. It happened just before 11 p.m. last Sunday. Seven people were in a home on Braxton Circle when bullets hit the building. A 43-year-old woman was shot while sleeping in bed according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies provided first aid and the woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening. She has been released. Investigators found what they described as two dozen large-caliber rifle casings in the cul-de-sac. There are no descriptions of the suspects or a vehicle. Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward.
