Washoe County Considering a Reopening Plan

Washoe County’s latest reopening plan now says once 75% of residents are vaccinated, all social distancing rules now in place can be dropped. Masks will continue to be required in public both indoors and outside. The plan goes before the Washoe County Commission Thursday. The plan also permits events involving more than 500 people, when the county takes over the pandemic response May 1st. It would also lift business capacity limits. If case counts spike, restrictions could be re-imposed. 23% of Washoe County residents 16 and older were fully vaccinated as of Tuesday.
