Washoe County Approves an Amended Reopening Plan

The Washoe County Commission has approved an amended reopening plan that has the approval of the District Health Officer, the Washoe County School District and the City of Reno. Commission Chairman Bob Lucey says they had to do it.

The plan allows businesses to open full capacity so long as they can maintain social distancing, which will remain in place until June 1. Groups of 10 would be allowed at restaurants and bars. Sports will be allowed but self-serve buffets will not. A big crowd turned out to tell commissioners to get rid of ALL the rules.

Mask wearing remains in place.
