California Getting Hydropower Back This Year

[KOH] – Wet weather means California is unlikely to face electricity shortages this summer. The state has enough water to restart hydroelectric power plants that went dormant during the period of drought. During the hot weather of August 2020, California used rolling blackouts to keep the systems running, and came close to more blackouts in the summers of ’21 and ’22.
