A man is dead after a shooting involving Sparks police officers. According to the Sparks Police Department, when officers responded to the Iron Horse Shopping Center at Prater Way and McCarran Boulevard around 9:30pm Tuesday night, they made contact with a man who they believe was armed. The situation escalated, and he was shot by officers. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. His name has not been released. The Reno Police Department is leading the investigation.
