First responders carried an injured hiker to safety Saturday afternoon in an area above southwest Reno. Both the Reno Fire Department and Truckee River Fire & Rescue responded around 1 p.m. The hiker was in the Alum Creek Trail area near Moss Lake and had an ankle injury. TMFR reported crews had to hike about a half mile to the injured hiker and carry the hiker down. She’s been treated by medical personnel for a broken ankle.
