(Reno, NV) — The Mount Rose snowpack is improving but is slightly low for this time of year. That is according to the snowpack survey taken on Monday. The snow is currently 93 inches deep, which translates to 29 inches of melted water. The average water content is 92 percent. The February 1st reading showed a 14-inch water equivalent. Truckee Meadows Water Authority officials say the snowpack is a little bit behind for this time of year, but is not in too bad of shape. Meanwhile, the Tahoe Basin Snowpack is at 84 percent of normal and the Truckee Basin Snowpack is at 88 percent of normal.
