(Reno, NV) — Two women are recovering after Reno firefighters rescued them from the Truckee River. The incident happened shortly after six o’clock Monday afternoon, after an inner tubing mishap that left them stranded in the river and holding onto a rock. Firefighters deployed inflatable rafts and safely brought the women to shore. Neither of them was wearing a life jacket. Both women turned down an offer for medical attention, despite reports of one possibly suffering a leg injury.
