(Reno, NV) — Whooping cough cases are on the rise in Northern Nevada. Northern Nevada Public Health says there were five confirmed cases all of last year. This year, there are already 18. Officials are urging residents to get the Tdap vaccine or a booster. The P in Tdap stands for pertussis, which is another term for whooping cough.
