(Indian Springs, NV) — The Nevada Department of Corrections is investigating the death of another inmate at High Desert State Prison. Fawaz Alzaid died at the maximum-security facility in Indian Springs on Sunday. The prison is about 40 miles northwest of Las Vegas. Officials say the death is considered suspicious, though the cause of death has not been confirmed. Three inmate deaths at the facility between mid-July and mid-August were labeled as suspected homicides. They are among five inmates who died during the same period.
