(Reno, NV) — A jury found 35-year-old Sean Looney of Reno guilty of attacking his elderly mother on Friday.
Reno police officers arrived at his mother’s home on New Year’s Day and found him lying in the front yard. Additionally, officers found multiple injuries to the woman’s face, neck and chest areas. Initial reports say Looney arrived at the home while his mother was sleeping and attacked her once she answered the door.
She was able to escape Looney a short time later and ran to a neighbor’s house, who called RPD.
Looney is scheduled to be sentenced on October 20th.
