(Black Rock City, NV) — A federal lawsuit has been filed against Burning Man. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, two popular YouTubers filed the complaint, claiming the organization prevented them from recording clean up efforts. Robert and Emma Forney of Sparks allege their rights were violated by the festival. The father-daughter duo posted a video last month titled “What Burning Man doesn’t want you to see” reportedly details litter and debris left in the Playa following the event. The lawsuit claims the BLM acted at the direction of Burning Man organizers when they issued the Forneys a trespass warning. In their suit, they argue a private group should not be in charge of who can access information about that group’s use of public lands, and that law enforcement should not take orders from Black Rock Rangers.
