Governor Names New Superintendent For Public Instruction

(Las Vegas, NV) — There’s a new Superintendent for Public Instruction and he has a strong Vegas background. Governor Joe Lombardo says Dr. Victor Wakefield will be the state’s new top educator. He’s a former middle school teacher who also oversaw the Teach For America program in Clark County. Wakefield also served on Nevada’s State Board of Education. He earned his PhD from Johns Hopkins in 2020.
