(South Lake Tahoe, CA) — The mayor of South Lake Tahoe is making an extensive confession. The Tahoe Daily Tribune published a letter from Mayor Tamara Wallace where she claims she’s in a treatment facility after trying to commit suicide. Wallace also admits to stealing money from a local Presbyterian church over an extended period. The mayor insists she stole the money to help her grandchildren after her son died from fentanyl. Wallace adds that she decided to confess after hearing that journalists were investigating her and the church had allegedly contacted a local prosecutor.
