(Las Vegas, NV) — The federal government shutdown is now leading to the suspension of a Nevada program that helps mothers and babies. The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada WIC Program is going dark. It typically provides food, breastfeeding support and education to tribunal communities and non-tribal communities. The suspension of services starts today and it’ll last until the federal government ends the shutdown.
