(Washoe County, NV) — Starting today, southbound lanes of Wedge Parkway will be closed for road work. RTC of Washoe County says northbound traffic will remain open while crews work on the stretch of road between Arrowcreek Parkway to Mt. Rose Highway. Side street access off Wedge Parkway may be unavailable for up to an hour at a time while pulverizing and paving operations are happening. Neighborhoods with one access point will have one-half of the access into the neighborhood open at a time through each operation, with flagger controls in place.
State Route 305 will be closed to through traffic in Lander County starting today as crews repair road damage. The highway connects Battle Mountain and Austin. An alternate route is available on State Route 278 through Carlin and Eureka. The closure begins/started at 6:00 a.m. and lasts through Oct. 23.
Lane closures are scheduled to take place along Interstate 580 in north Carson City on Wednesday and Thursday. Crews will be replacing a concrete median barrier on Lakeview Hill which was damaged in a crash. While work is taking place, lanes will be reduced in both directions between North Carson Street and Eastlake Boulevard. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph through the work zone.
