(Mount Rose, NV) — Today’s storm system is dropping significant amounts of snow on the Sierra. Donner Pass could get a foot of snow, while South Lake Tahoe is forecast to only get a few inches. The biggest impact will be south of Highway 50. Mono County could get well over two feet of snow. If you’re driving to Lake Tahoe, expect chain controls and delays. It’s a similar story if you take Highway 395 into California. Chain controls are also in place on Mount Rose Highway.
