(Mount Rose, NV) — Chain controls remain in place all over the Sierra as the first big snowfall of the season continues to keep plows busy. Chain controls are in effect for Highway 50 and Highway 28 on the east shore of Lake Tahoe and on the Mount Rose Highway. The Kingsbury Grade also has a chain requirement for drivers heading into Stateline. For at least part of Wednesday, a Winter Storm Warning will remain in place for elevations above 65-hundred feet. While the peaks around Lake Tahoe are likely to get one foot of snow, Yosemite National Park could get a total of two feet.
