(Mount Rose, NV) — The first big snowstorm of the season is prompting many Lake Tahoe ski resorts to announce opening dates. A Nevada resort will likely be the first to kick off this season. Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe tells the Reno Gazette Journal that they’ll open on November eighth. Because Mt. Rose has such a high elevation, it’s often the first to open. Heavenly plans to open on November 21st as does its sister resort, Northstar California Resort. Palisades Tahoe is set to open on November 26th.
