(Reno, NV) — A former deputy chief with the Reno Police Department is now out on bail and facing child sex charges. Thomas William Robinson is accused of soliciting a 17-year-old for prostitution and attempted child abuse for sexual exploitation. Prosecutors claim Robinson used sophisticated terminology when he unwittingly chatted online with an undercover detective. He’s one of over a dozen people arrested in a sting operation. He retired in January of 20-24. Robinson was with the Reno Police Department for 28 years.
