NCAAF
Some good news for the Nevada Wolf Pack. Punter Bailey Ettridge this week was added to the Ray Guy Award Watch List and he was also named to the Ray’s 8 list. The award honor’s the nation’s best punter. Ettridge is averaging 44 yards per punt, with only one of 31 kicks sailing into the endzone for a touchback.
NBA
Golden State used a third-quarter surge to beat Memphis, 131-118. Jonathan Kuminga led all scorers with 25 points while Jimmy Butler added 20. The Warriors are back on the floor tonight when they host the LA Clippers at 8 o’clock.
MLB
Freddie Freeman crushed a game-winning solo homer in the bottom of the 18th inning to lift the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-5 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game Three of the World Series. Freeman finished a game that was tied for the longest World Series game in history 2-for-7 with two RBIs. Shohei Ohtani was 4-for-4 with two homers, three runs scored and three RBIs. He also tied the Major League postseason record for most times on base in a single game with nine. Will Klein earned the win on the mound after tossing four scoreless innings to help the Dodgers take a 2-1 series lead. Alejandro Kirk led Toronto at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. The Dodgers will host the Blue Jays in Game Four tonight.
NFL
The Steelers are planning to reunite an old friend with Aaron Rodgers. ESPN reports the team is expected to sign Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The wide receiver played with Rodgers when both were on the Packers. Scantling spent four seasons in Green Bay with the future Hall of Famer and will join a receiver room in Pittsburgh led by DK Metcalf.
Valdes-Scantling recently played five games for the 49ers this year, totalling 40 yards on four receptions.
