CURLING
The official schedule for the Grand Slam of Curling tournament was unveiled. 32 teams from across the country will meet in Lake Tahoe November 4-9 for the tournament’s first-ever visit to the U.S. Teams from the U.S., Sweden, Canada, Scotland, and Japan are among some of the competitors. NCAAW
Single-game tickets for Nevada women’s basketball games are now on sale. The Pack will play 14 games at home this season, 10 of them being conference matchups. You can buy tickets here.
NBA
Jimmy Butler the Third and the Golden State Warriors cruised to a 98-79 win over the Los Angeles Clippers in San Francisco. Butler scored a team-high 21 points while shooting 75-percent from the field and knocking down a trio of three-pointers. Stephen Curry chipped in 19 points as the Warriors improved to 4-and-1. James Harden paced LA with 20 points in the losing effort. Ivica Zubac posted a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds as the Clippers dropped to 2-and-2.
The Kings were unable to knock off the defending champions on the road. Sacramento lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 107-101 at the Paycom Center. Zach LaVine scored a team-high 23 points in the setback. DeMar DeRozan finished with 19 points while Domantas Sabonis posted a double-double with 10 points and 18 rebounds. The Kings are now 1-and-3. They will visit the Chicago Bulls this evening.
NHL
Vegas moved to 6-1-3 thanks to a 6-3 win over Carolina. Jack Eichel scored twice late in the third period to put the Golden Knights ahead for good. Pavel Dorofeyev also lit the lamp twice.
The Sharks were unable to notch a second straight victory. San Jose lost to the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 at the SAP Center. Philipp Kurashev, Will Smith and Alexander Wennberg lit the lamp in the losing effort. The Sharks are now 2-6-and-2. They will host the New Jersey Devils tomorrow night.
MLB
The Blue Jays bounced back from a heartbreaking loss to beat the Dodgers 6-2 in Game Four of the World Series. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. launched his seventh home run of the postseason after hitting a two-run shot off Shohei Ohtani. The two-way star was charged with the loss after allowing four runs on six hits and a walk. He also went 0-for-3 at the plate with a couple of strikeouts. The World Series is now even at two games apiece with Game Five slated for Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
