NFL
The 49ers will be without their 2025 first-round pick for the rest of the season. San Francisco rookie defensive end Mykel Williams suffered a torn right ACL during the team’s 34-24 win over the New York Giants on Sunday. Williams was injured during the fourth quarter after his knee buckled while chasing New York quarterback Jaxson Dart. The 21-year-old will undergo season-ending surgery and will then begin a lengthy recovery process while looking forward to the 2026 season. The Niners selected Williams 11th overall in April out of Georgia. He finishes his rookie campaign with 20 total tackles and one sack in nine games played.
NBA
The Kings were unable to record a second straight victory. Sacramento lost to the Denver Nuggets 130-124 at Ball Arena. Russell Westbrook and Domantas Sabonis both recorded a double-double in the setback. Westbrook posted 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Sabonis finished with 13 points and 17 boards. The Kings are now 2-and-5. They host the Golden State Warriors tomorrow night.
