(Reno, NV) — We now know the man who reportedly hired a private investigator to track Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve and other local leaders. Robert Beadles confirmed his involvement yesterday to several sources, saying he never told anyone to track or follow people. He says he hired David McNeely to verify serious allegations and that he is being painted as the villain for believing public officials should be held accountable.
The investigation dates back to 2022 when Schieve and former Washoe County Commissioner Vaughn Hartung claimed that tracking devices were planted on their cars. Beadles had fought his way through the court system after the Nevada Supreme Court ordered McNeely to release the name of his client.
