College Basketball
Nevada women’s basketball suffered their first loss of the year, falling to Sacramento State, 65-45, on Thursday. The Pack made it a one-point game at the half, but the Hornets battled back, scoring 17 points in each of the final two quarters to take the win. Skyler Durley led all scorers with 17 points.
Nevada men’s basketball returns to the Lawlor Events Center tomorrow night to face Pacific. Coach Steve Alford says his team is now going through a gut check. Tip-off is at 7 on 95.5 The Vibe.
College Football
Nevada football is on the road against Utah State tomorrow night. The pack has yet to win a Mountain West game and is riding a six-game losing streak.
NFL
The Broncos beat the Raiders 10-7 in a defensive battle on Thursday Night Football at Mile High. Bo Nix threw for just 150 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Denver. J.K. Dobbins rushed for 77 yards and Troy Franklin caught five passes for 40 yards and a score. The Broncos have won seven in a row to improve to 8-and-2, first place in the AFC West. Geno Smith threw for 143 yards with an interception in the Las Vegas setback. Ashton Jeanty ran for 60 yards and his team’s lone touchdown and Tyler Lockett caught five passes for 44 yards in his team debut. The Raiders have lost three consecutive games to fall to 2-and-7.
