(Reno, NV) — Rain and snow will be the dominant story in the weather today. Reno will be dealing with heavy rain all day. The snow level will stay above eight-thousand feet today, but will drop to five-thousand feet by Friday. That means there will likely be heavy snow on tall passes like Mt. Rose Highway. As much as two feet of snow could fall on some mountain peaks. Expect chain controls and even some road closures in the Sierra.
