(Carson City, NV) — Nevada’s Secretary of State insists he’s protecting the private information of Nevada voters after he was hit with a lawsuit by the federal government. Francisco Aguilar says the Trump Justice Department wants information that contains the full Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers of registered voters. He tells 2 News Nevada that’s a highly irregular move. Earlier this year, he sent the Justice Department the forms with part of the Social Security numbers blacked out. The DOJ said that’s not good enough, so they’re suing Nevada and 17 other states.
