(Olympic Valley, CA) — Palisades Tahoe has 296 trails but only one of them is currently open. Meager snowfall and unfavorable snowmaking conditions has left most of the resort barren with only a few days left before Christmas. In a typical year, the entire resort is up and running by now. There’s hope on the horizon in the shape of some storms. There’s a possibility that the Sierra will see some more snow before Christmas.
