(Dayton, NV) – We’re learning more about what caused a Dayton man to die while being transported to Lyon County Jail. Deputies say 75-year-old Dean Hendricks was convicted to of a sex offense in Washington, but never registered in Nevada. He was arrested New Year’s Eve and the transporting deputy stopped at the Silver Springs Substation around 3 that afternoon. At that time, they discovered Hendricks wasn’t breathing. CPR was administered but he was pronounced dead at 3:20 p.m. No foul play or law violations are suspected, but an investigation is on-going.
