(Mineral County, NV) – A high-speed chase in Hawthorne leads to one arrest and a car flipped over. Just after noon on Thursday, Mineral County deputies were informed of a stolen Mercedes with an Oregon registration and they discovered it heading south on U.S. 95. The car fled from police, surpassing speeds over 100 miles per hour. The driver crashed along Goat Ranch Road in Mono County and flipped the car on its roof. Deputies caught up to the car and arrested Kevin Lerus, Fontaine Smith, and Cheyenne Cottle, all of Nevada, and booked them into Mono County Jail on charges in Nevada and California.
