(Stateline, NV) — Skiers and snowboarders had to be rescued from a chairlift yesterday at a large Lake Tahoe resort. KOLO TV says the Boulder chair stopped working at the Heavenly Mountain Resort at about 1:30 p.m. Witnesses told the station it took over two hours for ski patrollers to get everyone down. Crews were able to hoist everyone to safety. It’s not clear what caused the chair to malfunction or if the problem has been fixed.
