(Washoe County, NV) — A Washoe County mother is off to prison for poisoning her baby multiple times. Alesha Marie Martin poisoned the toddler several times in Nevada and Utah. The child was brought into multiple hospitals last year where doctors became suspicious. The 25-year-old later confessed to giving the 14-month-old prescription medications that she knew would cause a medical crisis. She’s now sentenced to 10 years in prison, and must serve at least four years. The child did survive.
