(Reno, NV) — One person is dead after a shooting last night that involved a Reno Police officer. It happened on the Wells Avenue Bridge during a welfare check at about 4:15 p.m. Investigators say the officer and the subject talked for several minutes before shots rang out. The person died at the scene. The officer was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The case is now being investigated by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
